Common in some years the nudibranch, Dendronotus frondosus, appears usually towards late summer and feeds on hydroids. I have ever only found it on kelp fronds although it apparently will browse on a varietyof surfaces. Up to 5cms in length, it has pairs of well developed appendages all down its back. Colour is variable from yellow, brown, white or pinkish white
