Found all round the UK, usually in the shallows, this sea spider appears to have been dislodged from its normal habitat and found an uncomfortable perch on a common sea urchin. Despite their size, sea spiders are carnivores and feed on soft bodied animals such as anemones which they pierce with a proboscis and and suck in soft tissue.
