The Norwegian Topknot, Phrynorhombus norvegicus, is one of the most versatile fish in terms of camouflage that is found around our shores. It can be drab one minute - as in this photograph - or can change to a pattern of colours that match its surroundings perfectly. See the next photograph. Consequently it is often overlooked by divers who are not aware of its presence until it shoots away.
